It's now early August and most parents are scrambling to get everything together before their kids start school for the year. There is so much to do and so little time to do it all. Between trying to find everything on your child's classroom shopping list to shopping for clothes that meet dress code criteria, it is sometimes easy to overlook out budgets. To help you save more, Shop With Bargainista compiled tips and tricks as well as a list of amazing sales you don't want to miss. How are you saving this back-to-school season?

1- Shop for basics at dollar stores
You can find paper, pens, and pencils anywhere but why pay more when you can get these items for a $1.00 each or less? Dollar stores are great places to stock up on the most basic school supplies like loose leaf paper, notebooks, folders, binders, pens, markets, pencils, crayons, erasers, and storage cases.

2- Check out summer clearances
If your child doesn't need to abide by a strict uniform dress code, you can save a little extra money by shopping for new clothes on clearance. You can often tee shirts, cotton tank tops, jeans, shorts, and dresses at rock bottom prices.

3- Use last year's backpack and lunch bag
There is no need to buy your child a new backpack if she/he already has one that is good as new. You should take a good look at the bag before she/he starts school though. Be sure to look for any signs of wear, tears, or bad stains. If the bag is still in good condition and/or minimally stained, you can throw it in the washing machine for a quick clean. This also apply to fabric lunch bags or cases.

4- Donate extra school supplies to kids in need
If you found a great sale on school supplies and ended up buying way more than you need, you could always save the supplies for next year OR you could donate extras to kids in need. Many children in the United States will start the new school year without the adequate supplies they need but you can make a difference by donating extra supplies directly to local charities or retailers (check your local newspaper). You could also donate products or funds to Kids In Need Foundation, a charity that donates to teachers so they can supply classrooms with much needed supplies.
